Raised in the northeast, wild landscapes called Andrea west.

She is the Creative & Communications Director for a conservation and experiential education nonprofit in the Swan Valley of Montana, a narrow river valley nestled between the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wildernesses, where bears outnumber humans.

She is endlessly curious about the natural world, and is a certified Montana Master Naturalist and holds a level 3 Wildlife Tracks & Sign certificate through CyberTracker North America, a rigorous international professional certification program.

Her photos have appeared in publications such as High Country News, Orion Magazine, Montana Outdoors, and The Humane Society’s All Animals magazine.

She fell in love with photography in her high school dark room, went on to earn a bachelors in print journalism, and somehow found a way to meld all of her passions together into her current life and job.
